Mandragora Officinarum, also known as mandrake, love apple or Satan's apple, is often described as the most famous magickal plant in history. Given its historically hallucinogenic and aphrodisiac properties along with the fact that the shape of the root is very humanistic, it has more myths, legends and folklore surrounding it than any other plant in the western world. It's referenced within the Kabalah, and is spoken of in the Apocrypha as coming directly from Adam.
